For summer camp this year the following scouts camped at Joseph A. Citta Scout Reservation. Collin, Connor, Theodore, Alex, Brian, Guy, Josh, Sean, Danny, Floyd, and Kyle. As a unit there were 44 merit badges earned and 9 partials erned. This year camp citta had alot of fun merit badges. They had water badges, ecology badges, eagle required badges, and craftsman merit badges. Also the councilers were very good. At every meal there was a fun song to sing, lead by the councilers. So leaders and councilers, thank you for a very memerable week at camp!

The New Order Of The Arrow Members

Congratulations to the scouts that passed their ordeal and are now ordeal members of the Order Of The Arrow. These people are Connor E, Andrew D and Theodore CB. These people had to go to Camp Citta for the weekend for there ordeal. The Order of the arrow is like the National Honor Socioty for Boy Scouts. To become a member there are no written requirments, you must be voted in by your fellow scouts. You must have at least 50% of the votes in your favor to be allowed to attend an ordeal. There are three ranks in the Order. There's an ordeal member, a Brotherhood Member, and a vigil member. To become an ordeal member you have to go to an ordeal in this case it was at Camp Citta. To become a brotherhood member you must go to an ordeal and take a test. Apon becoming a brotherhood member you are expected to set an example for the ordeal members. At the Citta ordeal Sean K. achieved his Brotherhood.  To become a vigil member there are no requirements. You leaders must reccomend you, to obtain vigil.

The ordeal sash is white with a red arrow going over your right shoulder. A brotherhood sash also is white and has a red arrow, but on either side of the arrow there is a red line. The vigil sash is really cool. It is white and has the red arrow with the lines on either side, but it has a red triangle in the middle of the arrow.

(To the left and ordeal sash. In the middle a Brotherhood Sash. To the right a Vigil sash.)

Congratulations To Mike B. For achieving the rank of eagle

On Saturday, the 19th at 1:00 at the church on old zion road Mike B. recieved the rank of eagle. hoooray!  The eagle court of honor was spectacular. There was a representetive from most of the local congress branches. There he recieved a letter from Hilary Clinton and Joe Biden! He should be proud of this accomplishment. At the court of honor there was alot of food and everyone there enjoyed themselves.

For his Eagle Scout project he built a bridge at the Old Zion Church. But he also had to earn several hard merit badges that include Citizenship in the World, Emergency Prep., Personal Management, and Personal Fitness.

So Mike has not only earned it by doing the requirements but he also deserves it. CONGRATULATIONS!! =)
